I’m going on vacation and don’t need service, do I still get billed?

No. We will credit your account for the time period you are away. Just contact our billing department.

I only need trash picked up once, can you do that?

Yes. We provide one time pickups, please call for pricing.

I’m having a special event (i.e. wedding, sports, dance) will you take care of my waste management needs?

Sure! Give us a call with your specific needs and we’ll take if from there.

When is my pick up day?

Our trash routes are geographically specific and will be determined when you sign up for service. Days vary according to neighborhood. Due to holidays, schedules will change on occasion. Notification will always be given in advance. Please check our website, call or email our office, or check your statement if a holiday is coming for further information.

How do I pay for the service?

We bill 1 month in advance, Net 30 days. You may pay online, our use automatic deduction, send in or leave a check with your driver. For temporary dumpsters, you must pay for the initial fee and will be billed for any overages. We have many convenient options, please see our billing page for more information.

What primary services do you offer?

Once a week, biweekly, monthly or on demand (depending on your contract), we will pick up your regular household or office trash. We should be advised of larger items and extra trash the day before your normal pickup and we may schedule a different time depending on the item(s). What time should my trash be ready for pick up?

All trash must be ready for pick up by 6 AM. No exceptions. Though the truck might arrive at your house between 8am and 9am on average, this might not happen every week due to inclement weather, road construction, driver illness and other factors which might cause a variation in the schedule. The route and special pickups will be scheduled in the most cost effective manner which may alter weekly schedules.

How should my trash be prepared?

All trash should be put in trash bags, tied and placed in barrels at the end of your driveway. Lids help keep trash in place away from the elements and animals. Please notify us if your trash bags are heavier than 50 lbs.

Where is my trash disposed?

Anything that can be easily recycled or reused is. All other items go to a State approved predetermined site depending on your location.

Why wasn’t my trash/recycling picked up?

If it appears that some trash or recycling was picked up and not others, it may be that it wasn’t prepared properly for disposal. Any items over 50 lbs. without prior notification, water or ice filled barrels may be refused at the discretion of the driver.

In the rare instance we missed your pickup, please call us immediately to remedy this situation.

You must make special arrangements for construction and demolition (C&D).

If your account is 60 days past due, services will not be provided. Please contact us if you have any questions.

What things can’t go in my curbside trash?

We do not accept hazardous waste of any type including:
Asbestos Medical Waste or Sharps
Fuels and Oil Paint, dried paint in cans will be accepted – lids must be removed (add kitty litter to help dry)
Computer Monitors, TVs, Circuit Boards, Computers*
Car and Household Batteries*
Yard Waste*
Animal carcasses
Demolition or construction materials*

How should my recycling be prepared?

You will receive an informational packet when you sign up for recycling services that will tell you all about this. If you have misplaced your informational packet, please contact us so we may send you a replacement. Recyclables not prepared properly will be treated as regular trash that may incur an additional fee. Please see our recycling guidelines page for more information.

Why do I have to pay extra to dispose of electronic devices?

Vermont and New Hampshire passed laws making it illegal to dispose of Electronic Devices in household trash. These items must be recycled by a disposal company to ensure the lead, mercury and cadmium that are in many of these products is disposed of properly.

Where do you provide service?

We provide services to the Greater Claremont, Bellows Falls, Newport, Grantham, New London and Upper Valley areas.

Why can’t I just add my yard waste into my trash?

It is illegal to place yard waste into your household trash. You can rent a Yard Waste container or place your yard waste in biodegradable paper bags for proper disposal. 

What are the rates of your services?

Weekly, biweekly and monthly rates are determined by the size and number of barrels. Normally, we determine by 32, 64 and 96 gallon containers (Toters). Extra trash and bulky items are billed based on our costs of disposal, as seen below.

Why haven’t I received a bill?

Typically statements aren’t sent out to customers that have a credit or have a zero balance. If you have any questions about your account please call 1-888-666-5920 or email [email protected] 

A $2.00 charge is billed for any customer wanting a mailed bill.  This fee is waived if you sign up for quarterly billing.  There is no fee for emailed bills or automatic deductions.
